In the past ten years, I was actively involved in research projects that seek to answer fundamental questions I was interested in. These are a few of those projects.

Data Empowerment

Together with a “sounding board” partner, I explore the concept of data empowerment, its theoretical underpinnings, and practical implications.

Freedom of Information Research

I worked with a team at the Philipping Government’s Freedom of Information Project Management Office to assess readiness’ of government agencies to implement the FOI regulation.

With funding support from the International Communications Union, I explored with a frequent research collaborator,the question of how can technology make higher education inclusive, especially during the context of COVID-19.

Assessing Impact of COVID-19 on Local Economy

I volunteered, together with a few researchers, to conduct a socio-economic impact assessment of COVID-19 on households, businesses, employees, and informal workers in a city in central Philippines
